The Joy luck club review (I wrote it, I swear!!)

The film shows the different stories that the main characters bring since they immigrated to United States. The main subject is the cultural shock that exists between every life of the main characters and their daughters. For example, the women bore in China supports his customs that does not happen with their daughters, because they not even speak Chinese. The first history shows the problem that a mother had to overcome with his two daughters, she was resign to die. So, she chose to leave them below a tree with the hope that someone was taking care of them. She was forced to do it for a good reason, apparently the Chineses believe in the bad luck, and for that reason nobody was going to accept to take care of them thinking that if they were accepting them they might run with bad luck too. For the other hand, there is an interesting topic, apparently they force the women to marry persons who they do not know, from early age they get engaged them without importing if they agree. It means, the film shows that women do not have right to express what they feels. Like that, it was seen in the second history, nevertheless, she could be free using the superstitions; it was a quite intelligent with that. in the marriages the loyalty is demanded them without importing if the husbands are dead, that expresses clearly that the women have many severe rules and what is more interesting, the same women support them, that make us think that the value that is given them is only that of an object. In conclusion, the societies are different enough and it can be that some of them are stricter than others, for example in its nutritive rituals, an American tried to be cordial but he made mistakes and affronts without realizing. Nevertheless, it was not his fault; simply he did not know that he is wrong. Regrettably, I must say that they despise enough the women, because it is not just that since they are born their society teaches them not to wish anything, to put the blame and sorrows of others on their. Perhaps, this is the main reason that the current society finds it hard to him to accept the union between two persons who come from different cultures (as it was seen in a part of the film)
